I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself. I grew up in the bay area and attended San Jose State University. There I received my bachelors degree in Child and Adolescent Development and Masters degree with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction. I learned that I love watching students discover something about themselves through literacy such as finding the first book they "love," or writing something that makes them beam with pride. I strive to foster a caring community through my lessons by encouraging collaboration, team-work, and communication. I absolutely love teaching and could not imagine myself doing anything else! It is truly my passion!
