Do you like to connect kids with nature? Living Classroom is seeking volunteers to teach our fun nature-based lessons and/or help care for our school gardens.  No experience necessary as we teach you everything you need to know.  Please join us from 9-Noon on Mondays 9/9-10/21 at the LASD iLearn Studio for our Fall Docent Training. Santa Rita features both edible and California native plant gardens on its campus:

Our California native plant garden is used to teach students about California native plants and animals as well as ethnobotany, habitat restoration, water conservation, and environmental stewardship.

Our edible gardens are used to teach students the joy of growing their own food and encourage healthy eating habits.
