I became a part of Santa Rita when my older daughter started Kindergarten here, and quickly fell in love with the school, staff, and community. I am now in my eighth year of teaching Kindergarten here after getting my credential at CSU, Los Angeles. I also have a Master’s in English and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Social Work from India, where I was born and raised.

Kindergarten is the very beginning of a child’s academic journey, and I do my best to make the year full of learning and fun. I believe that nurturing the innate curiosity in children makes them lifelong learners and that we have a responsibility to instill the values of perseverance, kindness, and empathy.

Outside the classroom, I love spending time with my two daughters, one in college and one at Egan Jr. High. I also enjoy yoga, trying new recipes, and caring for my many, many house plants.
